MULTIPLE DONATIONS CONDUCTED BY SEVA VANITHA BRANCH SRI LANKA ENGINEERS DURING THE LOCKDOWN PERIOD

The Seva Vanitha Branch - Sri Lanka Engineers (SVB - SLE) further expanding its welfare roles, multiple donations and scholarship awarding programme have been arranged during this lockdown period.

Distribution of dry ration packs and scholarship awarding programme conducted in Corporal (Deceased) Nandana's home at Kuruwita area. The soldier has passed away in 2021 due to a sudden illness and his loving family remains 2 daughters and his wife. Monthly basis, two scholarships have been awarded to his daughters to facilitate their future career. The donation programme and the scholarships were sponsored respectively by, SVB - SLE and Dr. Mrs. Indira Wijesundara, spouse of Lt Col (Retd) W R H K Wijesundara USP SLE from Australia.

Further, an another generous donation conducted at Sujatha Elder's home, Kalutara. During the occasion, a wheelchair and dry ration pack handed over to the caretaker by the chairperson of SVB - SLE, Mrs Shiromi Amarasekara. Mrs Lenika Balasuriya and SVB-SLE contributed for the wheelchair and dry ration pack respectively.

Due to the prevailing situation of the country, the chairperson, Mrs Shiromi Amarasekara has visited to each places and attended with the donation programmes.
