MAJOR L L I S LOKULIYANAGE SLE BECAME FIRST IN ORDER OF MERIT IN DSCSC COURSE NO 9
Major L L I S Lokuliyanage SLE became first in order of merit in DSCSC Course No 9. He was awarded with Golden Owl for the most exceptional performance of the course.
114 Officers represented the course which includes 60 from Sri Lanka Army, 19 from Sri Lanka Navy, 19 from Sri Lanka Air Force, 1 from Ministry of Finance & Planning of Sri Lanka and 15 foreign student Officers from Oman, Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Pakistan, Maldives, Nepal, Rwanda, Uganda, and Malaysia.
The convocation was held on 17 Dec 2015 at DSCSC, Sapugaskanda and five Officers from Corps of Sri Lanka EngineerS namely Maj W M M P Wanigasooriya SLE, Maj W M A B Warnasooriya SLE, Maj R M L A Rathnayake SLE, Maj L L I S Lokuliyanage SLE and Maj M D C D Marambage SLE who had successfully completed the Course received their psc (passed staff collage).
Hon Ruwan Wijewardane, State Minister of Defence graces the ceremony as the Chief Guest at the invitation of Major General Udaya Perera, Commandant, DSCSC. Past Commanders, Cheif of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva, Navy and Air Force Commanders, members of the diplomatic corps, Defence Ministry officials, family members of graduating officers and a gathering of Senior Officers were also present at the occasion.
