MAJOR GENERAL WMGCSB WIJESUNDERA RSP USP ndu RECEIVED INSIGNIA FROM THE ARMY CHIEF

Just-promoted Major General Chandana Wijesundera received his new insignia from the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva adding memories to their career at the Commander’s office in the Army Headquarters on 03 November 2020.

Accordingly, the Commander of the Army extending best wishes to him and pinned new rank insignia on Brigadier Chandana Wijesundera, General Officer Commanding, Engineer Division.

During the brief interaction, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva congratulated and wished him good luck with his future endeavors. On the recommendations of the Ministry of Defence and the Commander of the Army, HE the President has approved the promotion in his capacity as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
