MAJOR GENERAL D S WEERAMAN psc ACCORDED WITH A GUARD OF HONOUR AND A DINNER NIGHT ON HIS RETIREMENT

Sapper’s family bid farewell to Major General D S Weeraman psc on 17 August 2018. Major General Weeraman psc retired on completion of 35 year in the Army and he was accorded with military honours at the Headquarters Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Panagoda.

Major General D S Weeraman psc was enlisted to the Sri Lanka Army on 27 April 1983 and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on 07 November 1984 and joined the Corps of Engineers. He has held many command, instructional and staff appointments during his tenure in the Army.

The farewell ceremonies included a Guard Turnout, Floral Tribute to Fallen War Heroes, Guard of Honour and a Formal Dinner Night. Further, the outgoing Sapper officer celebrated his 55th birthday on the farewell day.
