MAIDEN VISIT OF THE GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF ENGINEER DIVISION TO 4 (V) ENGINEER REGIMENT

General Officer Commanding of the Engineer Division Major General D K S K Dolage USP psc, paid his first formal visit to the 4(V) Engineer Regiment on 05 February 2024, at the invitation of the Over Looking Commanding Officer. The visiting commander was received upon arrival by the Over Looking Commanding Officer.

The Over Looking Commanding Officer and all Officers of the unit conducted a comprehensive briefing. They covered history, projects, operational commitments, training and the administration matters of the unit. As a symbolic gesture, the General Officer Commanding planted a Mango sapling within the camp premises to commemorate his visit.

Later, General Officer Commanding addressed the Officers and Other Ranks of the unit and his address emphasized the significant contributions made by the forefathers of the unit and their contributions in field of construction and other areas including sports with expertise and professional approach. He expressed gratitude for the commendable support provided by the troops, particularly in nation-building tasks and all construction work carried out in the Army.

Following the troop address, the General Officer Commanding joined with the all ranks refreshment and the programme was culminated with an inspection of the camp premises.
