HUMANITARIAN DEMINING BASIC COURSE – 37 WAS COMMENCED

As per the instructions and guidelines of the Chief Field Engineer of Sri Lanka Army, Maj Gen AN Amarasekara USP ndu and supervisions of Commander field Engr Bde, Brig DP Jayasinghe RSP, 37th Humanitarian Demining Basic course was commenced on 21 Sep 2021 and it has been scheduled to conduct within 41 working days.

05 Officers and 63 Other Ranks are qualified to follow the course belongs to the Field Engr trade. In order to that opening address was conducted by Commander Field Engr Bde on 21 Sep 2021 in the main auditorium at Field Engr Bde-Boo Oya, Vavuniya. The course is comprising with practical and theoretical sessions which could be improved the adequate knowledge of HDM process of Field Engineers to carry out effective HDM operations in future.

The course is conducting according to International Mine Action Standards, and students will be issued a recognize certificate at end of the course. The photos of opening address are shown below.
