The Gampaha District Sri Lanka Engineers Ex-servicemen Branch recently convened its Annual General Meeting and Get-Together at 'Sanangana' Hotel in Pasyala. This gathering marked a significant moment for the association, affiliated with the Sri Lanka Engineers Ex-Servicemen Association - "The Bridge."

The event drew a robust attendance of approximately 78 members, including key appointees from the main executive committee. This diverse participation underscored the active engagement and commitment of the association's members.

The occasion served as a platform for acknowledging and appreciating the commendable efforts and unwavering commitment demonstrated by the association's committee. Ex-servicemen passionately shared their thoughts, engaging in discussions, offering valuable commentaries, and presenting proposals for future plans. This collaborative approach ensures that the association remains dynamic, adapting to the evolving needs of its members, and fostering a strong sense of community and support.

Distinguished guests graced the event, adding prestige to the gathering. Among them were Major General D K S K Dolage USP psc, the General Officer Commanding of Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division; Major General H C P Goonatillake (Rtd) RSP USP ndc psc, President of The Bridge; Colonel R M Subasinghe RSP, Deputy Centre Commandant SLE; and Lieutenant Colonel M R T Jayatissa SLE, Staff Officer 1 (Veteran Affairs). Their presence emphasized the significance of the Association's role within the community.

The Annual General Meeting and Get-Together not only celebrated the achievements of the past year but also reinforced the commitment of the Gampaha District Sri Lanka Engineers Ex-servicemen Branch to continue serving and supporting its members effectively. The event concluded on a high note, leaving a sense of camaraderie and shared purpose among all participants.
