The Seva Vanitha Branch - Sri Lanka Engineers (SVB-SLE) hailed and appreciated the services of the former SVB - SLE President Mrs Shiromi Amarasekara during a farewell reception at Regimental Centre Officers’ Mess on 08 January 2022 with the participation of Seva Vanitha Members.
Mrs Mihiri Herath, the new SVB - SLE President offering a bouquet of flowers welcomed the day’s Chief Guest, Mrs Shiromi Amarasekara on arrival. After appearing for the group photograph, the present President conducted her to the antique room of the Officers’ Mess.
Afterwards, the day’s agenda got underway with eye-catching dancing performances and entertaining musical rhythms. In the meantime, a short video was displayed highlighting the welfare and social activities conducted during Mrs Amarasekara’s tenure.
Later on, SVB - SLE President delivered the welcome note, emphasizing the invaluable service rendered by Mrs Shiromi Amarasekara to uplift the welfare of injured and deceased war heroes and their families of the Corps and extended best wishes for the outgoing Chairperson and her loving family for their future endeavors. Further, a photo album was presented to the outgoing Chairperson highlighting the significant events held during her period.
Mrs Amarasekara in turn thanked the SVB - SLE President and staff for the farewell ceremony and recalled the cooperation and the encouragement she received from all Seva Vanitha members with gratitude and highly appreciated those gestures.
The program was held strictly in compliance with the COVID 19 Health guidelines.
