Field Engineering Basic Module and Humanitarian Demining Course have been specially designed for the Officers and Other ranks of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps. The aim of course is to develop professional knowledge and increase the operational readiness on Humanitarian Demining Operation for the Officers and Other Ranks of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps.
The Field Engineer Basic Module was commenced on 06 June 2022 with a course strength of one Lady Officer and 26 Other Ranks. The opening address was held by the Commanding Officer of 10 Field Engineer Regiment, Lt Col WKST Kannangara psc SLE at the 10 SLE lecture hall. The Commanding Officer further emphasized on the importance of knowledge regarding field engineering and humanitarian demining to the course.
Duration of the course will be 21 working days for Field Engineering Basic Module package and 45 working days for Humanitarian Demining package. Upon the completion of the Field Engineer Basic module students may proceed on 10 days leave and 4 days being quarantine after leave then commence the Humanitarian demining package.
