Major General D B L Colonne USP and Major General T C Peiris RSP USP was honoured with Guard Turnouts and Guard of Honours for their promotions to the esteemed rank of Major General on 12th July 2024 at the Regimental Centre, Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers.
Newly promoted Major General D B L Colonne USP and Major General T C Peiris RSP USP was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant, Colonel F Joseph USP upon their arrival to the Regimental Headquarters. The ceremony unfolded with a meticulous Guard Turnouts at the Main Entrance, followed by a floral tribute to the Fallen War Heroes, a gesture of respect and remembrance. Thereafter, in accordance with military traditions, two colourful Guard of Honours were awarded as salutes to Major General D B L Colonne USP and Major General T C Peiris RSP USP at the Regimental Parade Square.
The concluding segment of the felicitation featured a formal tea at the Officers’ Mess, where the newly promoted two star Generals were graciously greeted by Senior Officers and Officers of the Corps.
