A DONATION PROGRAMME CONDUCTED BY SEVA VANITHA BRANCH - CORPS OF SRI LANKA ENGINEERS AFTER A FEW MONTHS OF SILENCE DUE TO COVID-19

After a few months of silence due to the deadly COVID 19 Pandemic over the country, Seva Vanitha Branch - Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers (SVB-SLE) organized a donation programme with few participants. A wheel chair donated to the father of Regimental Sargent Major, Warrant Officer I, DMUG Ranasinghe Banda who is severely ill. Amount of Rs 50, 000.00 medical aid donated to Lithula Laknada, the Son of Lance Corporal Haris Jayakantha ERSHP (Deceased) who is suffering from a cancer.

Honorary sponsorship for the event was granted by Mrs Rumini Fernando and the Army Seva Vanitha Unit in collaboration with the SVB-SLE. Wheel chair and the cheque handed over by the president Seva Vanitha Branch - Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Mrs Sagara Gunawardana adjoining with a member of SVB-SLE Mrs Dilupa Warahena. The Centre Commandant, Deputy Centre Commandant and few other senior officers have participated in the occasion.

The programme was conducted adhering to health safety guidelines and social distancing practices.
