CORPS OF SRI LANKA ENGINEERS REGIMENTAL HEADQUARTERS EQUIPPED WITH NEW UTILITY BUILDING
Lieutenant General AWJC De Silva RWP VSV USP ndu psc, Commander of the Army at the invitation of the Colonel Commandant Major General HCP Goonetilleke RSP VSV USP ndc psc declared open the newly constructed utility building for Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers on 15 September 2016 in auspicious time.
The newly-constructed Non Commissioned Officers’ (NCOs) Club, two-storied accommodation billets for Other Ranks and kitchen complex were ceremonially opened by the Commander of the Army, the Chief Guest of the event.
After the openings with religious formalities, the Commander of the Army and other senior Officers made an inspection of the new building.
Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva at the same time addressed Sapper troops who have assembled there and commended the Sappers’ demanding roles and tasks and insisted the importance of maintaining the status quo with highest standards of discipline and commitment to the service. Large number of Senior Sapper Officers, Sapper Officers and Other Ranks were participated for the event.
