CORPS OF SRI LANKA ENGINEERS DONATES A NEW HOUSE FOR THE LATE SERGEANT KAMALASIRI KAA\'S FAMILY.

Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers built a fully completed house for the family of late Sergeant Kamalasiri KAA (11 Field Engineer Regiment) who was killed in the line of duty on 4 Sep 2008 at Welioya due to terrorist attack. This house was built in a piece of land belongs to the Sergeant Kamalasiri’s family which is situated at No 76, Mount Lourance Watta, Ganima, Dodamgoda, Kaluthara. The house was constructed by the 4 Volunteer Engineer Regiment as per the request made by the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers. The newly built house was handed over on 09th January 2017 to the wife of late Sergeant Kamalasiri KAA, Ms. AG Gayani Darshika by the president of the Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs Lushani Goonetilleke. Centre Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Brigadier AN Amarasekara USP. Commanding Officer of 11 Field Engineer Regiment Lieutenant Colonel DAP Dissanayake RSP USP SLE, Commanding Officer of 4 Volunteer Engineer Regiment Lieutenant Colonel F Joshep SLE, Members of the Seva Vanitha Branch, many senior officers and officers were participated at the event.
