CORPS OF SRI LANKA ENGINEERS CELEBRATES THE 67TH ANNIVERSARY OF SRI LANKA ARMY
In connection with the celebrations of 67th anniversary of victorious Sri Lanka Army, Regimental Headquarters of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers also organized the series of events on 10th October 2016 at Panagoda Army Cantonment.
The day’s programme commenced with the flag hosting ceremony at 0830 hours. Deputy Centre Commandant Colonel AHLG Amarapala psc hoisted the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers flag. Lieutenant Colonel CD Wickramanayake WV SLE read the anniversary message of the Commander of the Army. Thereafter the Deputy Centre Commandant, and the Commanding Officer 1 SLE planted tree saplings inside the Regimental Headquarters premises. All the Senior Staff Officers, Staff Officers and Other Ranks participated for the event.
All Ranks lunch was organized at the new utility building at 1230 hrs. The Centre Commandant Brigadier AN Amarasekara USP, Deputy Centre Commandant Colonel AHLG Amarapala psc, All Staff officers, Regimental Sargent Major and Cross section of Other Ranks were attended.
