As per the direction of the Commander of the Army, 1 Field Engineer Regiment was conducted First Working Day programme on 3rd January 2022. The function was comprised with hoisting of National flag and play National anthem, Army song followed by commemorating of fallen war heroes.
The Oath of government servant has declared by all of them and read the COVID-19 health guidance to make aware of personal responsibilities to prevent the Pandemic. Thereafter, New Year message of the Commander of the Army was announced by overlooking adjutant of 1 Filed Engineer Regiment. Finally, the Commanding Officer of 1 Filed Engineer Regiment, Major Sanath Wijenayake USP psc was delivered his New Year speech which in line with the Commander of the Army’s vision and Mission.
At the end of the function, All Ranks of 1 Filed Engineer Regiment participated for tea party to which was organized in traditional manner to commence the new year duty with true spirit of 1 Field Engineer Regiment.
