THE COMMANDER PLANT ENGINEER BRIGADE MAKES MAIDEN OFFICIAL VISIT TO 7 SLE

On June 11, 2024, The Commander Plant Engineer Brigade Col K A S J Kodithuwakku USP ptsc made his maiden official visit to 7 Field Engineer Regiment, Minneriya where he began his military career.

The formalities commenced with a drive pass followed by a briefing on the unit’s roles and tasks highlighting the squadron’s significant contribution and ongoing projects by the Major W M A B Warnasooriya USP psc SLE, the Commanding Officer of 7 Field Engineer Regiment. During this briefing, the Commander Plant Engineer Brigade provided significant guidelines on camp security and the protecting of weapons and ammunition, underlining the critical importance of these issues.

Moreover, the Commander Plant Engineer Brigade addressed the troops by emphasizing the crucial aspects of financial management and soldier’s discipline, drawing on his own experiences and the values instilled in him during his early career at 7 Field Engineer Regiment. In a symbolic gesture the Commander Plant Engineer Brigade planted a sapling to commemorate the visit.

All ranks tea allowed the Commander Plant Engineer Brigade to interact informally with soldiers. Visit was concluded with signing of the visitor's book and followed by a group photograph with Officers.
