THE COMMANDER - FIELD ENGINEER BRIGADE MADE HIS FIRST UNIT VISIT TO 8 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT

The Brigade Commander of Field Engineer Brigade, Colonel F Joseph USP made his first visit to 8 Field Engineer Regiment after taking the office as the Commander Field Engineer Brigade, Boo-Oya on 01 Feb 2024 and he was warmly welcome by the Commanding officer Lt Col NLC Chandrajith RSP SLE on behalf of all officers and other ranks.

Brigade Commander addressed All Ranks of 8 Field Engineers Regiment and emphasized the necessity to work hard while maintaining outstanding discipline at every time. Subsequently the Commanding Officer briefed to the Brigade Commander on Operation and Logistic matters at 8 SLE. In order to make this moment unforgettable; he marked his visit to 8 Field Engineer Regiment by planting a sapling at camp premises.

Then he attended a tea party hosted at the Sappers’ Mess with gathering of All Ranks. During his camp visit, he witnessed the living standard of soldiers and civil servants while inspecting provided utilities to uplift men’s living standard.
