Commander Engineer Division Maj Gen Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc addressed troops at Mattegoda Home of Sappers. Troops of 1 Fd SLE ,5 Fd SLE ,14 CBRN SLE,16 Workshop SLE,4 (V) SLE and division staff participated to the event.
During his troop address ,briefly explain the present situation and convey the message of Commander of the Army regarding the privileges they are getting with eve of new year, including hike of ration money ,further he stressed the nature of current security, duties and responsibilities of soldiers and added the wishes for new year for all the staff. Moreover he highlighted the importance of maintain good discipline and reputation with civil society as a soldier and also financial management during this situation also emphasized that good conduct during on and off duties and challenges we face to avoid unwanted involvement with social media with dos and don’ts as military personal .Further he mentioned that always soldier's duty bond to protect the constitution of the country as our oath embedded us on to the commitment.
After, he addressed senior non-commissioned officers separately. In that, he stated the value of their contribution to the organization and responsibility that they carry; and made them aware of that the generations gap with comparison to the early days of society with the technological advance. Further, he mentioned soft skilled and highly dependent on social media and digital technology involvement in young generation has made vast change in things happening today and to adjust and absorb the pressure to brief young personal and motivate them accordingly to get their best commitment towards the organization.
