The Commander Engineer Brigade of Sri Lanka Army, Brig NPA Gunawardena RSP paid an official visit to 10 Field Engineer Regiments after taking the office of Commander Engineer Brigade few days back. The visit 10 Field Engineer Regiments on 02nd June and The Commander Engineer Brigade was ceremonially welcomed at 10 Field Engineer Regiment. Thereafter, briefing was conducted on current operational commitments, sterilization tasks, Field Engineer Tasks, Plant Engineer Tasks.
During his camp visit, he witnessed the living standard of men and civil servants while inspecting provided utilities to uplift men’s living standard and he witness the newly constructed Sappers Mess, CPLS’ Club and Indoor Gymnasium. He addressed sapper troops and emphasized the necessity to work hard while maintaining outstanding discipline at every time. Further he witnessed Humanitarian Demining operations and its progress during the visit to HDM site at 4 SLAMC. During this visit he appreciated the commitment of sappers to make Sri Lankan soil free from the threat of land mines.
In order to make this moment unforgettable he marked his visit to 10 Field Engineer Regiment by planting a sapling at camp premise. After that the urgent plant works at SFHQ(J) Tank was observed by the Commander Engineer Brigade and paid courtesy meetings with Commanders of Security Forces Jaffna Maj Gen PR Wanigasooriya VSV USP ndc USACGSC. To make this occasion unforgettable Commander Engineer Brigade Brig NPA Gunawaradena RSP marked his visit to 10 Field Engineer Regiments by planting a sapling at camp premise. For this moment Commander Engineer Brigade and 10 Field Engineer Regiment Overlooking Commanding officer and all other Officers were attended with official formalities of the visit.
