Major General Channa Goonetilleke the Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers congratulated Champion Drill Squad of the Army Drill Competition 2014 today morning (11 March 15) at Lt Gen NKB Angammana memorial Auditorium Regimental Headquarters. \r\nThe Drill competition held with the participation of 23 regiments of Sri Lanka Army and the Sappers yet again established their mark in this highly competitive event. \r\nCommencing the day\'s event, at 0900 hrs Colonel Commandant, Chief Field Engineer, Engineer Brigade Commander, Centre Commandant, Deputy Centre Commandant, Regimental Adjutant posed for a group photograph with the Drill Squad.\r\nThen the Colonel Commandant addressed the drill squad and in his speech he specially mentioned the dedication and commitment of the all members who contributed to uplift the standards of the Sappers and conveyed his gratitude to for the achievement and he further encouraged all to keep the effort further strengthened. The Colonel Commandant took the time to congratulate all the members of the squad individually. \r\n
