CHIEF FIELD ENGINEER DECLARE OPEN THE PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE AT KALENI RAJAMAHA VIHARAYA
On the instruction of Commander of the Sri Lanka Army Lt Gen A W J C de Silva RWP VSV USP ndu psc, Chief Field Engineer Brigadier G D I Karunarathne RSP psc undertook the project of constructing the pedestrian Bridge at Kelani Rajamaha Viharaya on 3 January 2016 which terminated on 18 January 2016. Under the supervision of Commander Engineer Brigade Brigadier S J M A R Seneviratne RWP USP psc, 5 Field Engineer Regiment, 14 Field Engineer Regiment and 4(V) Engineer Regiment constructed the bridge within 2 weeks and declared open by the Chief Field Engineer Brigadier G D I Karunarathne RSP psc at am hours on Tuesday 19 January 2016. Commander Engineers Brigade, Centre Commandant and Commanding Officers were present at the opening ceremony.
