CHIEF FIELD ENGINEER AND GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF SRI LANKA ARMY ENGINEER DIVISION VISITED THE 6 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT

Major General T C Peiris RSP USP, Chief Field Engineer and General Officer Commanding of the Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division, made an official visit to the 6 Field Engineer Regiment, Pallekale, on 11 May 2025.

Upon arrival, the Commanding Officer of the 6 Field Engineer Regiment, Major BLGTP Subasinghe RSP USP psc SLE, welcomed Major General T C Peiris. The visit commenced with a Guard Turnout at the regimental entrance, showcasing the regiment's discipline and professionalism.

To mark the occasion, Major General T C Peiris planted a sapling within the regimental premises, symbolizing growth and continuity. As part of the itinerary, Major General T C Peiris joined the Officers for a group photograph to mark the occasion and foster camaraderie.

After that he addressed the assembled troops, emphasizing the vital role of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers within the Sri Lanka Army. In his remarks, he highlighted the importance of maintaining discipline and urged all personnel to give their utmost dedication and commitment to the Corps.

Afterwards, The Chief Field Engineer participated to the All Rank tea organized in the NCOs’ Club. After the All-Rank tea, Chief Field Engineer expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the hospitality he received throughout the period of the visit. Afterwards, he visited to Dog Section in 6 SLE.

Finally, Following the formal proceedings, the Chief Field Engineer and the Officers engaged in a meaningful interactive session, this session was followed by lunch at Officers’ mess.
