Brigadier Nishantha Herath assumed duties as the new Director Training of the Sri Lanka Army on 20 November 2019 at the Army Headquarters in Sri Jayawardenepura. Brigadier Nishantha Herath relinquished the duties as the Brigadier Training of the Training Wing of Army Training Command on 11 November 2019.
