Farewell dinner for the three retired sapper officers Brig HAN Hapuarachchi RSP psc ,Brig SAR Samarasinghe RSP USP ,and Brig DKA Piyasena RSP USP who have rendered a yeoman service to the Corps of Engineers,to the army and to our beloved motherland was held on 11 April 2014 at the Officers\' Mess RHQ SLE.\r\n\r\nThree retired officers and their family members, Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, senior officers with their spouses participated in this event. The Dinner was organized in a grand manner and the event was a very emotional occasion with both happiness and sorrows.\r\n\r\nCol Comd appreciated the great services of these great sapper officers. All three retired sapper officers also shared their memorable experience in the field and thanks for the Col Comdt and all sapper family members present and for organizing the farewell party. At the end Col Comd presented mementos to these three sapper officers.
