Closing ceremony of the Basic Humanitarian Demining Course - No 41 (02/2023) was ceremonially terminated on 14 of June 2023 at the auditorium of Field Engineering Brigade with very brief closing ceremony. This course was held from 23 April 2023 to 14 June 2023 under close supervision of the Commander Field Engineering Brigade, Brigadier DP Jayasinghe RSP. There were 80 students, including 12 Male Officers, 05 lady Officers, One Sri Lanka Navy Officer, 60 ORs and 2 ORs of Sri Lanka Navy. All the students were qualified to wear Humanitarian Demining badges and awarded certificates after completion of the course successfully. 2/Lieutenant DM Abeysinghe SLE was become a first in order of merit of the course.
The event was consisting with Insignias and certificates awarding, In the meantime, The concluding remarks were delivered by Brig D P Jayasinghe RSP Commander of Field Engineer Brigade and briefed about the importance of Humanitarian Demining and future employment of deminers to the UN Mission. Finally, he congratulates for their future.
