Closing ceremony of the Basic Humanitarian Demining Course - No 39(01/2023) was ceremonially terminated on 03 of April 2023 at the auditorium of Field Engineering Brigade with very brief closing ceremony. This course was held from 13 February 2023 to 03 April 2023 under close supervision of the Commander Field Engineering Brigade, Brigadier DP Jayasinghe RSP. In this Humanitarian Demining course there are 121 Sappers, including one lady Officer, 69 sappers and 51 Sapper women’s of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers were awarded certificates and qualified to wear Humanitarian Demining badges after completion of the course successfully. Lieutenant HGSM Ranahansala SLE of 1Field Engineer Regiment was become a first in order of merit of the course.
The event was consisting with Insignias and certificates awarding, Group photograph. In the meantime, The concluding remarks were delivered by chief Instructor Major ASA Jayaweera USP psc Brigade Major of Field Engineer Brigade and briefed about the importance of Humanitarian Demining and future employment of demines. Finally, he congratulates for their future.
