ASSUMING DUTIES AS THE 9TH COMMANDING OFFICER OF 10 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT

Major L V R C N Bandara RSP psc SLE assumed duties as 9th Commanding Officer of 10 Field Engineer Regiment on 02 April 2024 at Headquarters of 10 Field Engineer Regiment Myliddy, Kankesanturei with a formal military ceremony.

The incoming Commanding Officer was warmly welcomed by Major H M U S K Illangaratne RSP SLE, the Second in Command and saluted with the Guard Turnout. The newly appointed Commanding Officer symbolically placed his signature for an official document amidst religious blessings to signify the acceptance of the duties. As a military tradition, he was invited to add memories by planting a Jack sapling and followed by troop address. Second in Command, all Officers and Other ranks attended the occasion.
