ASSUMING DUTIES AS THE 32nd COMMANDING OFFICER OF 1 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT

Major KWKR Jayasinghe RSP psc SLE assumed duties as 32nd Commanding Officer of 1 Field Engineer Regiment on 04th October 2023 at Headquarters of 1 Field Engineer Regiment, Panagoda with a formal ceremony.

The newly appointed Commanding Officer was warmly welcomed by Major HKMNK Kalumullage USP psc SLE, the Second in Command of 1 Field Engineer Regiment and saluted in the guard turnout. Later, he took over duties signing an official document amid religious observances of all faiths. As a Military formality, he was invited to add memories by planting a “Mango” sapling and followed by a troop address to all ranks.

Second in Command, all Officers and Other Ranks attended the occasion and all of them of the unit extended warm wishes to the newly appointed Commanding Officer for his future endeavours.
