ASSUMING DUTIES AS THE 22nd COMMANDING OFFICER OF 6 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT

Major MAKRK Abeywickramasinghe RWP RSP psc SLE assumed duties as the 22nd Commanding officer Of 6 Field Engineer Regiment on 10 August 2023 at Headquarters of 6 Field Engineer Regiment which is located in Pallekele,Kandy.

The newly appointed Commanding Officer was warmly welcomed by Major RMLA Rathnayake USP psc SLE the Second in Command of 6 Field Engineer Regiment and saluted in the Guard turnout. After gained blessings by religious observance, new Commanding Officer marked the inauguration of his office by placing his signature for official documents.

As a military formality, he was invited to add memories by planting a sapling and followed by a troop address to all ranks.The Second in Command, all Officers and other ranks attended the occasion.
