ASSUMING DUTIES AS THE 15TH COMMANDING OFFICER OF 9 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT

Major B D J Rangajeewa USP psc SLE assumed duties as 15th Commanding Officer of 9 Field Engineer Regiment on 06 May 2024 at Headquarters of 9 Field Engineer Regiment Kokavil, Kilinochchi with a formal military ceremony.

The incoming Commanding Officer was warmly welcomed by Major H S K Premarathna RSP SLE, the Officer Commanding of 91 Field Squadron and saluted with the Guard Turnout. The newly appointed Commanding Officer symbolically placed his signature for an official document amidst religious blessings to signify the acceptance of the duties. As a military tradition, he was invited to add memories by planting a Mango sapling and followed by troop address, all Officers and Other ranks attended the occasion.
