ASSUMING DUTIES AS THE 05TH COMMANDING OFFICER OF 16 WORKSHOP REGIMENT SLE

Major MAKRK Abeywickramasinghe RWP RSP psc SLE assumed duties as the 05th Commanding Officer of 16 Workshop Regiment SLE on 02 June 2023 at the headquarters of 16 Workshop Regiment SLE in Mattegoda Camp, Polgasovita.

The newly appointed Commanding Officer was warmly welcomed by Maj BLGTP Subhasinghe RSP psc SLE the Second in Command of 16 Workshop Regiment SLE and saluted in the Guard turnout. Aimed brief religious observances, new Commanding Officer marked the inauguration of his office by placing his signature for an official document.

As a Military formality, he was invited to add memories by planting a ‘Sudu Handun‘ sapling and followed by a troop address to all ranks. Second in command, All Officers and Other Ranks attended the occasion.
