Army\'s Chief of Staff invited as Juror to World HRD Congress
In a rare recognition by an international non-military organization of a national military establishment, The World HRD Congress invited Major General H.C.P. Goonetilleke, Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Army to its Silver Jubilee global forum as a Juror.
Over 1400 leading lights of human resources development from 133 countries will attend the showpiece event slated to be held in India. Top Global HR leaders will be awarded during the event which will also feature several notable international speakers.
Major General Goonetilleke, recognized as one of the Army\'s most distinguished Officers, is the Army\'s No. 2 as its Chief of Staff, a position that oversees one of the country\'s largest and most challenging human resources regimes.
The World HRD Congress is one of the industry\'s premier international bodies providing a platform for the development of human resources professionals across the globe. The Congress serves as a pace-setter for the rapidly evolving industry while also providing a platform creating a voice for the HR professionals.

Major General Goonetilleke has served the Army in many capacities having engaged in National Security, Humanitarian Crisis/Emergency Relief and Stability Operations in diverse situations ranging from conflict to post conflict prior to getting into the \'HR Leadership Role\' at OCDS and there in after his unblemished track record that brings stature and credibility made us invite him to the Jury of this Global event where 113 countries will be represented.
Major General Goonetilleke is product of Royal College Colombo and St Benedicts College Colombo.
