ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING – 2018 OF SEVA VANITHA BRANCH OF CORPS OF SRI LANKA ENGINEERS WAS SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDED

The Annual General Meeting of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers was held on 11 December 2018 at the Cinema Hall of Security Force Headquarters (Jaffna). The meeting was presided by the President Engineers Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs Ajantha Hettiarachchi. A guest lecture and a donation programme followed by a family get-together were some significant part of the event.

During the AGM, tasks carried out in the present year were reviewed and the proposed plan for the upcoming year was discussed. Further, new office bearers were appointed for the coming year. The guest lecture on the “Role of Woman in the present Society” was delivered by senior counselor Mrs Ishama Kariyakarawana.

The AGM was followed by a family get-together with the participation of families of the Seva Vanitha members and past Seva Vanitha members. The event consisted of some lively entertainment and fun games for members and their kids.

In addition, an excursion was arranged for members and their families to visit the Delft Island and Nagadeepa temple. Finally the AGM was concluded with a donation programme to distribute dry ration packs and sanitary items to selected needy families in Jaffna.
