ADVANCE CBRN COURSE 2020/I SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDED

The 14 Chemical Biological Radiology and Nuclear (CBRN) Response Regiment on the aspiration of Engineer Brigade Commander conducted advance CBRN course 2020/I from 21 January 2020 to 28 February 2020 with the participation of 24 other rank students representing 8 Engineer Regiments.

The course started at SLSME Embilipitiya, but after one week course was sent to Mattegoda according to the National requirement with the ambition of responding Corona distress.

The course was conducted with the collaboration with National Authority for Implementation Chemical Weapons Convention (NACWC), Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Regulatory Council (SLAERC), 1990 Suwaseriya Ambulance Service and Army Preventive Medicine and Mental Health.

For the closing ceremony of the Advance CBRN course 2020/I conducted a demonstration on the topic of responding chemical accident as a first responders. Chief Field Engineer Maj Gen HRKP Peiris VSV USP ndu was the chief guest and Engineer Brigade Commander Brig AN Amarasekara USP ndu, Plant Engineer Brigade Commander Brig. NPA Gunawardana RSP and Center Commandant RHQ SLE Col M Mayadunna RSP USP and Other Senior Officers/Officers participated to witness the final demonstration.
