The 9 Field Engineer Regiment Celebrated its 24 Anniversary

The 9 Field Engineer Regiment proudly celebrated its 24th Anniversary on 24 February 2024 marking yet another milestone. In celebration of the anniversary, series of programmes were organized with the participation and directions of the Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel DGEMRB Dhammanthota psc SLE.

In keeping with military tradition, the Commanding Officer of the 9 Field Engineer Regiment graced the occasion as the Chief Guest during the anniversary functions. The anniversary day celebrations were commenced with Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour for the Commanding Officer. The Commanding Officer was received by the Second in Command, Maj HGAD Warnakulasooriya psc SLE. Group photograph, planting of a sapling and all rank lunch were lined up in the rest of the programme.

Inter Squadron cricket tournament and volleyball tournament were held within the camp premises. The Commanding Officer and all ranks received the blessings by Murukkandi Hindu Kovil and bodhi pooja held at unit temple. To mark the anniversary day, a vibrant musical performance was held on a grand scale as a way to celebrate the soldiers and acknowledge their unwavering dedication to the unit, providing a well-deserved break from their routine.
