20TH COMMANDER FIELD ENGINEER BRIGADE ASSUMED DUTIES

Colonel F Joseph USP assumed duties as 20th commander of Field Engineer Brigade on 19 January 2024 at Headquarters of Field Engineer Brigade, Boo Oya Vavuniya with a formal military ceremony.

The incoming Brigade Commander was warmly welcomed by Lt Col Sumeda Thoradeniya USP Lsc SLE, the Colonel Project of the Field Engineer Brigade and saluted in the guard turnout. Later he took over duties by signing official document. As a military tradition, he was invited to add memories by planting a “Mango” sapling and followed by troop address. Subsequent to the troop address, newly appointed Commander Field Engineer Brigade had an interaction with the troops during the all ranks tea held at Sappers Mess
