The days proceedings commenced saluting the incoming Brigade Commander in a Guard Turnout on his arrival at the premises. Later on, Brigadier Dumidu Jayasinghe signified the formal acceptance of the office with blessing of Thero. Then, he planted a Mango sapling for mark this event. Staff Officers of Field Engineer Brigade conducted formal briefing on existing deployment and operational environment.
Staff of the Field Engineer Brigade and Commanding Officers of under command units 8, 9 & 10 Field Engineer Regiments attended the event. At the day’s evening, Brigade Commander was hosted with a dinner at Engineer Brigade Officers’ Mess.
