Having set the objective of providing economic relief to low income families in Kalutara district due to COVID-19 pandemic 12 Field Engineer Regiment took steps to donate dry ration parcels with the assistance of “Ekva Food Bank”. The programme was conducted with the instructions of GOC 61 Infantry Division and the supervision of Commander 612 Infantry Brigade on 26 and 27 December 2021.
The essential dry ration packs were offered to the under privileged families in Walallawita Divisional Secretariat area in Kalutara district. The families have been selected by the respective Grama Niladharies. Officers and Other Ranks of 12 Field Engineer Regiment represented the event with giving strict compliance to the Covid 19 health guidelines.
