10 Field Engineer Regiment Sappers’ family bid greetings to the newly appointed Commanding Officer with an investiture ceremony. Maj W K S T Kannangara psc SLE assumed duties as the 7th Commanding Officer of 10 Field Engineer Regiment on 29 June 2020 with the blessings of Triple Gems. Welcoming ceremony included a Guard Turnout and a formal troop address for all ranks by the Commanding Officer.
The Commanding Officer also took a moment to plant a tree in the remembrance this precious moment of the Regiment history. Maj W K S T Kannangara is a proud product of St. Anthony’s College, Wattala, who got enlisted to the Intake 48 on 04 July 1998. Moreover, Maj W K S T Kannangara psc SLE served as the 8th Second in Command of the 10 Field Engineer Regiment from 01 August 2018 to 12 February 2020 which makes the environment more familiar to him.
