In honor of the upcoming 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, to be celebrated this October, we continue to uphold the spirit of brotherhood by caring for the families of our fallen heroes. In this regard, a newly constructed house was presented to Mrs. Nadeeka Madushani, the widow of Corporal Udaya Kumara, who passed away while on active duty.

Officers' Accommodation building consisting with 06 x rooms was ceremonially declared open by Major General M G W W W M C B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander Security Forces Jaffna and Colonel of the Regiment - MIR, on 07 July 2024 on the invitation of Centre Comdt, MIRC.
After the opening of the building, the Col of the Regt addressed the officers & Other Ranks at the venue & highlighted the effort taken.

Mechanized Infantry Seva Vanitha Branch organized a Ranawara/Belimal Dansela with Hakuru infront of the Rangiri Dambulla Rajamaha Viharaya, on 23 May 2024. Devotees arrived at the Dambulla temple were more than glad to be offered with Sini Sambal buns, biscuits and hot Belimal/Ranawara drinks with hakuru during a cool climate.
