The Junior Command Course No 12 conducted by the Officer Career Development Centre (OCDC) Buttala marked its culmination on 10 April followed by a Course end Dinner Night.

The annual two-day seminar, organized by the Officer Career Development Centre (OCDC) at Buttala, one of the prestigious seats of learning in the Army, will get underway during 31 May -1 June at the OCDC auditorium.

Signifying her proud existence amongst the prime military training centres of the Sri Lanka Army, the Officer Career Development Centrecommenced another solid and important new episode to renew the history with the commencement of the Unit Command Course 1 on 1 May 2018. Twenty (20) student officers of the Sri Lanka Army in the ranks of Lieutenant Colonel and Major enlisted to follow the course.

The staff of Officer Career Development Centre joinedhands with the leaders of Maligathenna College and Thenagallanda College school to develop their leadership skills among the children of two schools. The programme was successfully conducted in the premises of the OCDC on 13 May 2018.

The Unit Command Course No 1 commenced on 1 May 2018 at Officer Career Development Centre (OCDC) Buttala and marked its culmination on 03 August followed by a Course End Dinner Night. The Junior Command Course 13 was also conducted simultaneously from 24 April to 03 August at OCDC with the participation of 47 officers including 8 foreign officers from Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Maldives.

Commencing the Junior Staff Course 14 at Officer Career Development Centre, the opening ceremony was held on 11 September 2018 in the OCDC Main Auditorium. 39 officers including 2 foreign officers from Bangladesh joined to follow the course.

Officer Career Development Centre, the prime training establishment of the officers of the Sri Lanka Army, officially commenced its 14th Junior Command Corse on 27 August 2018 in the OCDC Main Auditorium. 50 officers including 9 foreign officers from friendly foreign countries of Bangladesh, India, Malayasiya, Maldives and Nepal have been enlisted to follow the course.
