Commencing the Junior Staff Course 14 at Officer Career Development Centre, the opening ceremony was held on 11 September 2018 in the OCDC Main Auditorium. 39 officers including 2 foreign officers from Bangladesh joined to follow the course.

Officer Career Development Centre, the prime training establishment of the officers of the Sri Lanka Army, officially commenced its 14th Junior Command Corse on 27 August 2018 in the OCDC Main Auditorium. 50 officers including 9 foreign officers from friendly foreign countries of Bangladesh, India, Malayasiya, Maldives and Nepal have been enlisted to follow the course.

Officer Career Development Center has set the stage to conduct the biannual seminar for 60 x senior officers / middle grade officers in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and Majors for the 12 consecutive time on 17 and 18 December 2018. The Seminar 2/2018 is scheduled to be commenced under the very theme ‘Contemporary Strategic Environment in the Region and the Role of Military Commanders’ with the participation of the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army as the Chief Guest.

Fulfilling a long-felt necessity of the Officer Career Development Centre, Buttala, newly constructed premises for Academic learning ‘The Academic Nexus’, was declared open by the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, Lieutenant General NUMMW Senanayaka RWP RSP VSV USP USACGSC this morning whilst attending the inauguration ceremony of the Seminar 2/2018 at OCDC.

Major General WA Wanniarachchi WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc, the Commander of ARTRAC visited Officer Career Development Centre on 08th January 2019. The Commandant, Brigadier DMDCD Gunawardane RWP USP ndc psc received the Commander, ARTRAC at the OCDC premises.

Continuing with the main responsibility of equipping future commanders of the Sri Lanka Army, Officer Career Development Centre commenced Junior Command Course 15 as the first course for the New Year 2019 with the participation of 63 officers in the ranks of Major and Captain of the Sri Lanka Army.
