  • Junior Command Course 15/2019 Commenced

    Continuing with the main responsibility of equipping future commanders of the Sri Lanka Army, Officer Career Development Centre commenced Junior Command Course 15 as the first course for the New Year 2019 with the participation of 63 officers in the ranks of Major and Captain of the Sri Lanka Army.

  • Junior Staff Course 15/2019 Begins

    Discharging the leading role, Officer Career Development Centre commenced Junior Staff Course with the responsibility of grooming future staff officers to the Sri Lanka Army. The opening ceremony of the Junior Staff Course 15 was held on 11 January 2019 at the OCDC Main Auditorium. 39 officers have joined to follow the course.

  • THE COMMANDANT OCDC ADORNED WITH A NEW INSIGNIA

    The opening address of Unit Command Course 3 was held on 11 January 2019 in the school Main Auditorium. 19 officers have enlisted to follow the course.

    The Commandant, Officer Career Development Centre (OCDC), Brigadier DMDCD Gunawardana RWP USP ndc psc of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment has been promoted to the rank of Major General with effect from 05 January 2019.

  • NEW ACCOMMODATION BUILDING WAS DECLARED OPEN AT OCDC

    Facilitating a much needed demand for a new accommodation building, troops of 17 Engineer Service Regiment (ESR) under the supervision of the Garrison Engineer-Buttala completed the two storeyed accommodation building for the permanent staff officers of Officer Career Development Centre (OCDC). The opening ceremony of the building was held on 27 February 2019 and Captain RM Hettiarachchi, Garrison Engineer-Buttala, declared open the building for the staff of OCDC under the guidance and instructions of Major General DMDCD Gunawardana RWP USP ndc psc, the Commandant at an auspicious time. The hard work extended by the troops and the officer in meeting the requirement within the limited time with the available resources was highly appreciated by all the officers of the centre.

  • CHASING THE HASHES

    Officer Career Development Centre (OCDC) successfully conducted the collage Hash Run with the intention of promoting team building and entertainment among the student officers of UCC 3, JCC 15 and JSC 15 amidst their busy schedule on 9 March 2019. The event was held under the patronage of Major General DMDCD Gunawardana RWP USP ndc psc, the Commandant OCDC and Officers of the permanent staff and their families also participated in this event.

  • THE GRADUATION CEREMONY OF UCC 3, JCC 15 AND JSC 15

    The Officer Career Development Centre Graduation Ceremony 1/2019 was held on 05 April 2019. The occasion was graced by the Commandant, Deputy Commandant, Chief Instructor, Senior Instructors and other members of the permanent staff.

  • JUNIOR COMMAND COURSE 16 COMMENCES

    Junior Command Course number 16 commenced on 2 May 2019. 56 officers in the ranks of Major and Captain including two foreign officers from friendly foreign countries of Bangladesh and Nepal have been enlisted to follow the course.

  • OCDC Ready for the Commencement of its 13th Seminar

    The Seminar 01 for 2019 organised by the Officer Career Development Centre (OCDC) is scheduled to be held from 30 to 31 May at the OCDC Main Auditorium. It is held for the 13th consecutive time in high magnitude and it will be unfolded under the theme of Challenges in Evolving the National Security in Sri Lanka.

  • OCDC LAUNCHES ITS 13TH SEMINAR FOR THE SENIOR OFFICERS

    The two-day seminar on Challenges in Evolving the National Security in Sri Lanka, organized by the Officer Career Development Centre (OCDC), began with the inauguration ceremony this morning and Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake, the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker.
