Keeping in line with the whole nations celebrations, OCDC celebrated the 73rd Independence Day to commemorate the declaration of the sovereignty from the British rule in 1948, with the participation of Acting Commandant, Chief Instructor, Senior Instructors, Senior Officers, Permanent Staff and all the Student Officers.

Officer Career Development Centre (OCDC) successfully conducted the college Hash Run with the purpose of promoting team building, organising capabilities and entertainment among the student officers of SCC 1, JCC 20 and JSC 20 by strictly adhering to COVID 19 health measures on 23 January 2021.

OCDC held their much-anticipated Cricket Encounter successfully on Sunday, 7 March 2021 at OCDC playground with the aspiration of boosting team spirit and organising capability among the student officers with the participation of the three teams from the courses and the permanent staff.

The graduation ceremony of JCC 20 was held at OCDC Main Auditorium on 09 March 2021. This outstanding occasion was graced by the Commandant as the Chief Guest and the Overlooking Deputy Commandant and the Chief Instructor, the Senior Instructors and other members of the permanent staff also attended the event.

The foundation stone for a two - story building was ceremonially laid by the ARTRAC Commander Major General SS Waduge RWP RSP USP ndu psc with the Commander of SF Central, Major General NR Lamahewage RWP RSP ndu, and the Commandant of OCDC, Major General DBSN Bothota RWP RSP USP psc at the OCDC premises on 11 April 2021 amidst Pirith Chanting of Maha Sanga.
