3 (V) Battalion SLACAL Celebrates 5th Anniversary Corps Day

The 3 (V) Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock (SLACAL) proudly celebrated its 5th Anniversary Corps Day on 10 February 2026 with a series of events conducted in accordance with military traditions and customs.

In parallel with the Corps Day celebrations, several activities were organized under the supervision of the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel WTU Perera SLACAL. As part of the programme, friendly cricket and volleyball tournaments were conducted on the morning of 07 February 2026, fostering camaraderie and team spirit among all ranks.

on 09 February 2026 morning,Continuing the religious observances, alms were offered to ten Buddhist monks, and evening followed by a Flag Blessing ceremony held at the sacred Somawathiya Raja Maha Viharaya, invoking blessings for the Battalion and its members.

On 10 February 2026, the Commanding Officer reviewed the Guard Turnout at the main entrance of the camp. Thereafter, he planted a sapling within the camp premises, symbolizing growth and sustainability, and participated in a group photograph with officers and Other Ranks.

Subsequently, the Commanding Officer joined the All Ranks Lunch, during which he shared his thoughts and words of encouragement with officers and Other Ranks. The 5th Anniversary celebrations were ceremonially concluded with a musical programme, marking a memorable and dignified Corps Day celebration.
