Colonel Commandant Pays an Official Visit to 1 SLACAL

The Director General of Financial Management and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock, Major General K D M L Samaradiwakara RWP RSP ndc psc, paid an official visit to the 1st Battalion of the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock on 11 January 2026.

Upon arrival, the Colonel Commandant was warmly received by the Commanding Officer of 1 SLACAL, Lieutenant Colonel N D Jeewandara USP, along with senior officers. To commemorate the visit, the Colonel Commandant ceremonially planted a sapling within the camp premises.

Addressing the troops, the Colonel Commandant shared his views on the current challenges faced by soldiers and provided valuable guidance on overcoming those challenges through discipline, dedication, and unity.

During the subsequent farm visit, he inspected ongoing agricultural projects of the Army farms and offered his observations and recommendations for the further development and enhancement of agricultural productivity within the Corps.
