Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock Surya Mangaliya – 2025

The Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock Surya Mangaliya 2025 was held at the Regtl Cen on the 5th April 2025 with the participation of the Honorable President of the Regimental Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs Udari Anupama Gamage. Further it was a wonderful occasion that brought a fresh experience to everyone and it shown the unity of all ranks of the regiment with the giving priority to Traditional games.

The Arachchi Walawwa built in the area, reflecting the village traditions and it was the most attractive place during the festival. The guests were welcomed with the highest ceremonial rites and the New Year festival followed the many ancient Sinhala cultural events including the Kopy kadaya, tambourines, etc.,. Moreover, it is consist with number of sports events and Games including running through the village, Kottaporaya, Climbing the slippery tree, and selecting the New Year prince and princess.

A great number of regimental members participated in the festival along with their families and the prizes were presented to the winners by the chief guest and with the participation of senior officers. Finally, the Surya Mangaliya was successes with the valuable guidance throughout by the Colonel Commandant and Centre Commandant of the SLACAL and it shown the collective unity of all ranks.
