THE NEWLY APPOINTED CENTRE COMMANDANT ASSUMES OFFICE

Brigadier S M C A S Samarathunga RSP assumed duties as the 6th Centre Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock on 15 th October 2025 at Regimental Centre, Karandeniya, Ambalangoda

The Deputy Centre Commandant Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock, Colonel PAR Wijerathna RWP RSP, warmly received the incoming Centre Commandant upon his arrival and a subsequent Guard Turnout at the entrance greeted him in accordance with military formalities. The newly appointed Centre Commandant then symbolically placed his signature on an official document to mark the assuming of duties, amidst religious observances at his office

After wards the, newly appointed Centre Commandant planted a sapling and posed for a group photograph to signify the occasion. Brig S M C A S Samarathunga RSP then addressed the troops and had the customary all-ranks tea, where he engaged in meaningful interaction with the Officers and Soldiers of the Corps. Senior Officers/Officers and Other Ranks of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock witnessed the ceremony
