CORPS OF SRI LANKA ENGINEERS EXTENDS SOLIDARITY THROUGH CASH DONATION FOR DITWA-AFFECTED PERSONNEL

Demonstrating its unwavering commitment to the welfare of its members, the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers organized a cash donation programme in support of Ditwa-affected Officers, Other Ranks, and Civil Servants, following a conceptual decision taken by the Regimental Council.

The meaningful welfare initiative was conducted on 11 January 2026 at the Regimental Centre, Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers. The occasion was graced by Major General D K S K Dolage USP nps psc, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, as the Chief Guest, adding prestige and significance to the event.

During the programme, a total sum of Rs. 1.4 million was distributed among 25 affected personnel, reaffirming the Regiment’s steadfast dedication to caring for its members during times of adversity.

Addressing the gathering, the Colonel Commandant commended the multidimensional disaster relief operations undertaken by the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, particularly highlighting the restoration of essential public services, protection of key infrastructure, and sustained support extended to affected communities across the island. He further emphasized that the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers remains resolute in ensuring the well-being of its personnel and their families, standing strongly with them in every challenging circumstance.

The event was attended by members of the Regimental Council, Senior Officers, Officers, Regimental Sergeant Majors, and Other Ranks, reflecting the unity, compassion, and strong regimental spirit that define the proud legacy of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers.
