ASSUMING DUTIES AS THE 38TH COMMANDING OFFICER OF 4 (VOLUNTEER) ENGINEER REGIMENT

Lieutenant Colonel LVRCN Bandara RSP psc SLE assumed duties as the 38th Commanding Officer of 4(Volunteer) Engineer Regiment on 15 October 2025 at the Regimental Headquarters of 4 (V) Engineer Regiment in Borupana, Ratmalana.

On arrival, the newly appointed Commanding Officer was warmly welcomed by Maj SDCPK Senarathna SLE the Second in command of 4 (V) Engineer Regiment and was honoured with a ceremonial Guard turnout, showcasing the Regiment’s discipline, professionalism and deep-rooted military traditions that reflect its proud legacy within the sappers. Assumption of duties aimed brief religious observances, new Commanding Officer marked the inauguration of his office by placing his signature for an official document.

As a part of military formalities, he delivered a troop address to all ranks emphasizing discipline, unity and the continued excellence of the regiment. Second in command, All Officers and Other Ranks attended the occasion.
